But functionality is there (currently copying files as I type this). Step 4: Preview scanning results, choose files we need, and then click Recover to get those. Step 3: Select the not readable/not recognized Seagate Backup Plus drive drive and click Next to scan lost files on it. Step 2: Launch iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac. It may or may not go well from the $ side. Step 1: Connect not readable/not recognized Seagate Backup Plus drive drive to Mac. I may have to pay $20 for the license, but I am calling Paragon next week to see if I can get a free license to use with my Seagate drive since the version they (Seagate) included didn't work and obviously Seagate paid for at some time to bundle with the drive. Plug in my drive and wham, bam thank you ma'm it's working! Afterwards I visited Paragon's site and downloaded their most recent 9.5.1 driver (trial version).
SEAGATE NTFS DRIVER FOR MAC NOT READABALE INSTALL
The solution for me was to remove (via install package remover program) the NTFS 8.0.0 driver and do a reboot. The other issue you have, is Windows will not format a drive to FAT32 if its bigger than 32Gb in size. HFS (the 'standard' format for a MAC) is not readable at all under Windows. Under NTFS this would only be seen to take up 4Mb.

Thanks for help - I guess there will be a few more hacks to. And then enter read-only mode in system preferences once the harddrive is connected and it should them mount and be able to read from the drive - which is enough to get the files i wanted. Would mount and I can READ ONLY, but no write access. Therefore 1024 1 byte files, for example, will be seen to take up 32Mb of space. Answer: A: Answer: A: So now I have got it working: Update NTFS for Mac - to the latest version. Additionally, it was the pre-packaged driver that came with my Seagate GoFlex 1TB USB 2.0/3.0 drive (which I understand only works with Seagate drives, which is fine by me, if it worked).Īnyhow, same case. Differences are I am running Lion 10.7.2, and my Paragon NTFS driver was 8.0.0.
